Running from June to September 2015, the TRANSLOCATIONS exhibition presented a series of works that deal with contemporary mobility flows including tourism, migration, commuting and the effects or impacts of these on local contexts, especially concerning citizenship, identity, territoriality, diversity, dwelling and use of the public space.
It also highlighted phenomena that limit and determine mobility, such as fear (insecurity, violence), inequality and social exclusion. These issues are addressed by the various projects currently underway in the Raval and Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, and by projects already carried out in several cities. This highlights how the global phenomenon of mobility adopts specific nuances in each place.
Elements of the ongoing process of The Artist and the Stone were presented, including the double channel video The Artist and the Stone: On Negotiation.
